Karen is an ideal base for tourist visitors to Nairobi, located quite close to a majority of the city's attractions. First among these is the Nairobi National Park, which Karen abuts, as well as the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen House, and the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. You may wonder how all these wildlife function in a hectic city, but Karen is a more relaxed, leafy area with a more suburban feel that allows for a bit of respite amidst Nairobi's bustle.
